INTRODUCING THE YURT IN BRENTWOOD!
 Yurt

Welcome To Our New Studio In Brentwood Unlike Any Other Around.

A magnificent yurt surrounded by trees in a truly beautiful setting. The skylight opens and a magical feeling comes upon you as we gaze in to the sky and see the stars in our evening classes. During the day you see tall trees and nature surrounding the yurt. Unlimited residential street parking without any meters and permit free . Our classes will be limited to a small amount of people so your instruction can be extremely personal, not like the over crowded classes in our city. This yurt is for people who want small classes and might not feel comfortable in the larger classes so often found in Los Angeles. If you have any physical problems, injuries, diseases, or are overweight and have issues that need to be addressed, the yurt might be the place for you . Our setting looks like you are in the country or at a spa at a resort somewhere. We are one mile from the ocean, which allows a constant breeze to flow. The yurt in Brentwood is a special place and we hope you come and visit. Change is right in front of your eyes, you just have to open them

WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?

Yoga Therapy Adapts The Ancient Practice Of Yoga To The Specific Needs Of People With A Particular Or Persistent Health Problem That Cannot Be Addressed In A Group Yoga Class.

WHAT IS A YOGA THERAPIST?

Certified Yoga Therapists Can Usually Make The Difference Between Changing Not Only The Body, But Also The Nervous System, Where Pain Originates. Yoga Therapists Are Trained In Anatomy, Physiology, And The Anatomy Of Pain. They Understand And Can Help The Body’s Structural Challenges When A Disease Or Injury Takes Over.

WHY DO YOGA THERAPY?

According To The American Medical Association, More Than 80% Of Illness Is Caused By Stress. Yoga Therapy Has Been Used For Thousands Of Years As An Important Tool To Help Manage Stress And Find Another Place To Put It. Through The Practice Of Yoga, A Sense Of Peace And A Feeling Of Joy Can Emerge From Deep Within, Often Creating The Ultimate Awareness Of Who We Are Meant To Be. By Creating This Ultimate Awareness, We Are Able To Transform Our Bodies And Mind Into A Healing Mode, Resulting In A Happier And Healthier Life.

HOW CAN YOGA THERAPY BE BENEFICIAL?

Yoga Therapy Can Be An Essential Tool For Anyone In Need Of Individual Attention And Help. This Form Of Therapy Aims To Awaken The Inner Self And Has Nothing To Do With Flexibility, Weight, Physical Condition, Or Even Age.  Special Needs Can Be Addressed Through Yoga’s Connection Of The Body With The Spirit And Mind.

YOGA THERAPY VS. PHYSICAL THERAPY

Where you hurt is not always the source of pain. Physical therapy and chiropracty can sometimes shift the pain and tension points in your body instead of addressing overall relief. Yoga therapy loosens and balances the entire body, allowing it to heal and create more energy to maintain health.

HOW CAN YOGA THERAPY HELP YOU?

Chronic Pain and Sports-Related Injuries

When physical therapy and chiropractic techniques don’t make a difference, many medical institutions and doctors recommend that their patients work with yoga therapists who can offer the specialized attention not found in group yoga classes. Individual yoga is especially effective after surgeries related to backs, hips, and shoulders.

Obesity and Weight-Related Issues

Those battling obesity can have a relaxed, positive experience when working with a yoga therapist through the use of props such as chairs, blocks, and bolsters to help students comfortably accomplish postures and stretches.

The Elderly

As the senior population grows, so does the need for classes designed specifically for their special situations. At a time in life when arthritis, incontinence, slowing metabolism, diabetes, or heart disease can occur, yoga is the perfect tool to offer health, balance, agility, and prana (life force).
